Basic Info:

Name: Hikari Netto
Place of Origin: An AU of EXE canon in a tougher, somewhat darker setting. Navis are considered less helpers and friends than they are tools, and as a result few are treated well. Due to ruthless government activity, organizations like WWW, Gospel, and Nebula never got the chance to exist. Support was given to some companies in the industry and taken away from others, IPC being one of the latter. This resulted in quick failure. The alternates of EXE characters have fallen on different ways to survive that may not be considered orthodox by their fairer alternates.
Physical Description: Even though he looks almost identical to Lan, the way he holds himself gives him away as nothing similar. He doesn't wear the headband or Navi symbol, and prefers to always keep a jean jacket on. He is never seen not carrying a longbow and quiver of arrows to defend himself with, as well as a box of datachips containing viruses and the small device that allows them to log out as Navis do instead of being deleted.

History and Personality


Backstory: Netto was a very adventurous child when he was younger, probably because there was not much else to do. He was estranged from his parents at a very young age and considers himself as having none, though he has had Rock for a fair time. He was taken in by the organization of mercenaries that later trained Enzan; although he showed a poor aptitude for close-range combat, when he was old enough he turned out to be a natural hand with a bow. He and Enzan had not actually met when the latter stole the Spectrum technology, but as part of his programming aptitude training he fixed it up.
Netto entered the Nexus probably earlier than anyone in his world due to an experiment another world (Chaud Blaze's) was running with inter-world communication. He managed to build a teleporter with Chaud's help so he could skip his brief time in the Nexus altogether, and hopped between their two worlds frequently until Chaud's death.
Though he has known of other worlds for longer, every experience Netto has had with them has been bad. He is therefore reluctant to continue to travel between them, though until Enzan gained Sci-lab's defunct teleporter he was the only one able to.
Personality: Netto is more subdued and subtle than most of his alternates. He does get crazy ideas, but as soon as you figure out the thought behind them they make sense (usually). He's quite smart, and quick, both in wit and with picking up new skills. He seems intelligent even when one first meets him, even though you always get the impression of something sneaky happening, and it probably is. He is very good at manipulating people without them even realizing it.

Relationships:

Rock (blue_hacker): Rock is Netto's oldest friend. He had the Navi with him when he got lost originally. As a result, Netto sees him as his only family, percieving the people he was raised among as simply being there. Rock is also probably the only person who actually understands Netto.

Enzan (sun_darkness): Enzan and Netto did not get along at all at first. Netto was fairly jealous of Enzan's combat skills initially, but his curiosity at another mercenary with a Navi won out and the two actually discovered they had much in common. Since not long after a mission together, the two have been close friends.

Blues (sunlit_shadow, same mun): Blues and Netto have always had an edgy relationship at best, probably because both are overprotective of Enzan for different reasons. Netto has always respected Blues, though, and even gave him his last name.

Blues Blaze (blues_blaze, shared account): Netto used to find Blues a mere annoyance when he was with Chaud, but since the Navi became a Darkloid and killed his own brother, though accidentally, he has become the only person Netto truly hates. If he ever returned to that world to check on Chaud and Proto, that would only be a pretense to delete this Blues.
